A sword film that has all of the elements of the famous cult hit Shogun Assassin combined — this is the Limited Collector's Edition (2001) of The New One-Armed Swordsman, presented in the widescreen Shaw Scope format. Directed by the legendary Chang Cheh and produced by Runme Shaw.

A Sword Master's life is saved during an attack when his servant jumps in and is killed. The swordsman takes in the servant's son and trains him. Jealous of the young boy, his daughter plots to have him attacked — during the attack his arm is chopped off. His wounds are attended to by a woman, and all is good until a bad kung fu school forces the swordsman to learn the one-arm sword technique and come back for revenge.
