Though he is relegated to developing only his mind under the tutelage of a Japanese scholar, the boy acquires martial arts skills in secret from this teacher, which come in handy when the family’s honor is challenged. Moving performances from Kurata San and Leung Kar Yan, along with a bevy of bone-smashing fight sequences, highlight this martial arts masterpiece.
